Affordable Housing Projects
The development of affordable housing is a lengthy process that often involves collaboration among local non-profit organizations, developers, and the City and Borough of Juneau. Utilizing State and Federal funding for the development of affordable housing often makes most projects a multi-year effort from proposal to inception.
Here are the current affordable housing development projects taking place in the City and Borough of Juneau.
Housing First-Glory Hole-Polaris House Project
The Glory Hole has applied for an AHFC Pre-Development Loan as a precursor to an AHFC Special Needs Housing Grant application for the creation of a Single-Resident-Occupancy (SRO) building. Housing First will be the developer and Polaris House will offer support service once the units are complete.
