Juneau Maritime Festival

Juneau is Maritime.

We had a successful 2016 Juneau Maritime Festival and it goes without saying how grateful we are for the generosity of our Festival sponsors, volunteers, steering committee members, vendors and the Juneau community. Without them, this Festival would not be possible. We look forward to working with our sponsors and community partners on the next Maritime Festival.

Juneau’s Marine Park was held on Saturday, May 7th to celebrate Juneau’s rich Maritime culture, history and commerce with over 2,000 of your family, friends and colleagues.  The Juneau Maritime festivities went from 11AM - 5PM but for the first time ever, the annual Blessing of the Fleet, which honors those that have given their lives to the Alaska commercial fishing industry, fell on the same day as the Festival. The Twisted Fish provided breakfast to those who attended.

We had a fun day with activities like:

  • Port to Starboard Progressive Dinner (Register online)
  • Live musical entertainment by JAMM, Flustered Cluckers, Mandalynne and Brass Quintet
  • Southeast Alaska Sailing regatta
  • Hourly 16B Dock Tours
  • Delicious seafood
  • Plenty of children activities
  • Contests like Fillet contest, Tug O’ War and Survival Suits
  • Taku Tote Races
  • Marinade Culinary Contest
  • U.S. Coast Guard Helicopter fly-by
  • And more!

This community event would not be possible without the help of our supporters.  Please show your support by following this link.
