Kirstie is a Program Associate at JEDC focusing on special projects, including research and the annual Juneau Maritime Festival. She was born and raised on the Canadian Prairies but moved west shortly after graduating college seeking wilderness and adventure. She worked for 15 years as a fisheries technician on a transboundary salmon river where she met the love of her life working on the same project. Kirstie and her husband, along with their dog Skillet, live just outside of Juneau where she takes working “remotely” to the next level. She enjoys hiking, fishing, knitting, and refuses to give up on gardening in SE Alaska.
