The Juneau Economic Development Council Innovation Summit explores Talent Transformation in a Diverse Economy.

Juneau, AK — The Juneau Economic Development Council (JEDC) launches its eleventh annual Innovation Summit March 16-17, 2022 in Juneau, Alaska at Centennial Hall.

Every year the Innovation Summit gathers entrepreneurs, business leaders, academics, policy makers, innovators, and experts in their field to network, learn, share, inspire, and create solutions to Alaska’s unique economic challenges.

The summit’s theme this year is Talent Transformation in a Dynamic Economy, exploring the role of innovation in workforce development, dynamic perspectives in the workplace, collective impact and shared outcomes.

“This year’s Summit explores how we can use innovation to understand and address the challenges of workforce transitions and our changing economy is a timely focus we need as we guide our economy’s recovery from the pandemic and the opportunities to build our future economy,” notes Ky Holland, cofounder of AKv3 and Innovation Summit collaborator.

The Innovation Summit will take place in the Alaska’s capital city at Centennial Hall. The award winning conference will host signature Innovation Tours prior to the start of the first keynote speaker on Wednesday March 16. Individuals from businesses and organizations will be in attendance with insight on work and the workplace in a time of flux. In addition to providing expert keynote presentation, panels and discussions, the summit also provides the opportunity to hear from and interact with the region’s best entrepreneurs, business-minded individuals, and policy makers.

For eleven years, the Innovation Summit aims to cultivate fresh, new ideas, connecting start-ups and entrepreneurs with established players in our business communities as well as with agencies and organizations that shape markets. The Summit will include the annual Pitch Contest co-hosted by the Alaska Airlines and Juneau Chamber of Commerce. Expert judges and attendee votes will determine the winners from the outstanding contenders from all corners of Alaska and the Yukon. Throughout the Summit, Deep Dive sessions will be led by industry experts in which Summit participants can explore the complexities of the issues at hand.

Additionally, the Innovation Summit hosts a series of brief presentations called “Innovation Shorts”, similar to a Ted Talk, created by attendees, on a range of important topics relating to the major themes of the conference.  The summit attracts attendees from throughout Alaska and beyond. JEDC invites business leaders, entrepreneurs, public and private agency representatives, and innovators interested in collaborating to advance Alaska’s economy. To register and attend, you can gain access to early bird registration now for $235.
