Scott Crabtree

As the Founder and Chief Happiness Officer at Happy Brain Science, Scott Crabtree empowers individuals and organizations to apply findings from cutting-edge neuroscience and psychology to boost productivity and happiness at work. His repeat clients include DreamWorks, Nike, Kaiser-Permanente, Boeing, Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Activision, Blizzard Entertainment, and NBC. His insights have been quoted in First Round Review, Fast Company, Inc., InfoWorld, Fortune, and VentureBeat among other publications. In his 25-year career, Scott has served as a leader in game development and software engineering. He’s founded startups and worked at a variety of technology companies large and small. In early 2012, he resigned his position as Tech Strategist at Intel to pursue his passion full time: helping people apply science to be happier and more successful.

Scott holds a B.A. in Cognitive Science from Vassar College. When he is not immersed in scientific data or coaching executives, he loves spending time with his wife and two young daughters, especially in nature, and also enjoys playing with his band. He lives in Portland, Oregon

Piper Foster Wilder

Piper Foster Wilder is the Founder and CEO of 60Hertz Energy. The tech start-up develops maintenance software for energy assets, from microgrids to solar arrays. She has raised more than $2.7M of  Venture Capital for the company, with a staff of 22, and has an international customer base across the Arctic, also with the Department of Defence, and in Haiti, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Uganda. 

Foster Wilder came to Alaska to serve as Deputy Director of the Renewable Energy Alaska Project in Anchorage. There she became acquainted with the opportunity and challenges of project development, financing, and maintenance of remote power grids. In 2016, Foster Wilder led a contract with the Colorado Energy Office to develop a solar-thermal-as-a-service program in partnership with six Rural Electric Cooperatives in Colorado’s Western Slope. Foster Wilder came to renewable technologies through her work as Vice President of Amatis Controls, an Internet of Things company. There, she developed their thermal metering product line. During this time she was named in Aspen Magazine’s Ten Women of Aspen. Prior to this she helped launch Colorado’s Energy Smart initiative.

Foster Wilder is a Humboldt Fellow and worked at Ecologic Institute in Berlin for two years studying land use planning to accommodate large renewable installations. She served as Executive Director of the McBride Family’s Sopris Foundation from 2005-2010. She lives in Anchorage with her husband, photographer Nathaniel Wilder and their daughter.
